The CEATI Distribution Utility Technology Roadmap 2025 report, The fourth report (5057-B “Common Infrastructure”) was completed in this project in October of 2007. The series now totals more than 800 pages of material, 200 technologies and more than a dozen communications mediums. More than 100 utilties have been involved in this project over the last 7 years.
It is considered one of the best selling technical reports of all times and was praised by one executive for being the first report that did not put him to sleep at night. The reports are available from http://www.ceatech.ca. The SEA does not get a “kickback” from the sale of the reports, but does recommend them. They were created by key people who work for SEA member companies. The project started in 2002 and wrapped up with a workshop in Vancouver in late 2007. There is discussion with in CEATech about possible additional reports. If you want to get in on the next phase of the research, we recommend you join CEATech.
