North American Platts/Capgemini Utilities Executive Study

Top North American Utilities executives were surveyed by Platts and Capgemini.  With concerns about the environment, infrastructure, workforce management and increasing regulation denying many of them a peaceful night’s rest, top North American energy industry executives are increasingly exploring technology as a remedy for their sleeplessness, a recent study by Platts and Capgemini finds.   Completed in late 2007 and early 2008, the Platts and Capgemini survey of top utilities executives was designed to:

  1. Identify and prioritize current industry issues
  2. Assess opinions about the future of the energy industry
  3. Measure steps utility companies are taking to prepare for the future.

The first phase of the research was designed to identify the issues, while the second phase statistically quantifies and prioritizes those findings.

An executive summary is available that describes the study’s key findings and future industry issues.

More information and the whole study is available on Capgemini US website
